PR and Marketing Executive
Rachel joined Zyme in Summer 2019 and supports clients across a range of communications activities, including drafting and editing technical articles, putting together successful industry awards entries and providing guidance on increasing social media engagement. Additionally, Rachel has provided advertising planning support, researching and advising on relevant opportunities to maximise reach and impact.
Rachel obtained a first-class Masters degree in Chemistry from the University of Leicester, where she received the Dunlop Polymer Engineering Division Prize as the highest graduating MChem student.
Before joining Zyme, Rachel spent time carrying out post-graduate research at the University of Cambridge, investigating the clearance of protein aggregates in neurodegenerative diseases. Her discovery of a novel function for a cellular protein-regulation complex, and the potential role it plays in neuronal toxicity, was published in the peer-reviewed journal Cell Reports.
