Overview

TRIMTECH Therapeutics was founded in November 2023 to create novel, small molecule targeted protein degradation (TPD) drugs to combat neurodegenerative and inflammatory diseases. TRIMTECH’s approach selectively degrades protein aggregates, whilst leaving the functional monomeric form of the target protein intact, opening up much needed small molecule approaches for indications that affect very large populations, such as Alzheimer’s disease.

Objectives

Zyme started working with TRIMTECH in 2025 on a press release announcing its Seed fundraise of $31 million (£25 million), as well as the public launch of the Company. The aim of the project was to elevate TRIMTECH’s profile to generate interest from potential future investors and pharma partners.

Zyme then worked with TRIMTECH to develop a strategic and targeted communications plan for the year, to capitalise on the momentum achieved following the seed funding, to raise awareness and understanding of TRIMTECH, its unique science foundations, team and pipeline. This included entering the Company for relevant and well-regarded industry awards, distribution of news announcements tailored toward the life science trade and business press, developing and managing a strategic social media plan, and maximising visibility at conferences and events.

Key achievements
  • Strategic communications around announcement of the Seed funding and company launch, including development of a media Q&A, press release distribution, management of media enquiries, social media strategy, and embargoed outreach to secure an interview with Endpoints under an ‘exclusive’ agreement, resulting in publication of an in-depth article on the day of the news being announced.
  • Developed a messaging framework following a workshop with the TRIMTECH leadership team, defining TRIMTECH’s proposition and key messages, to engage with the target audiences and ensure clear and consistent communication across all materials.
  • Developed and maintained a strategic PR plan to map out upcoming communications activities and opportunities to reach the target audiences.
  • Supported news announcements around key company milestones, securing coverage across top target publications such as BioCentury, BioWorld, Drug Discovery World, Endpoints, FirstWord Pharma, GEN, The Pharma Letter, MedNous, News Medical , Pharmaceutical Technology, Senglobal, International Biopharmaceutical Industry, PMLive, and local Cambridge press
  • Advised on award opportunities to enter, drafted and supported submission of materials, resulting in TRIMTECH being successful in:
    • LSX Lifestars ‘Seed Raise of the Year’
    • Annual TPD & Induced Proximity Award
    • Fierce Biotech Fierce 15
    • As well as being shortlisted for Business Weekly Awards, and One Nucleus ‘Best Therapeutic R&D Programme of the Year’
  • Highlighted TRIMTECH’s leadership and scientific team’s positions as thought leaders by securing with interviews and articles with BioCentury, Biotech TV, Drug Discovery World, Endpoints and Fierce Biotech and by carrying out ‘meet the team’ interviews to develop a series of blog articles for the website.
  • Managed the social media accounts, including development of bespoke branded graphics, drafting and scheduling of regular posts to highlight conference attendance, published articles, and news announcements.
